Museum education

Gruppo Pleiadi stands out for excellence in the design and management of educational activities for school and non-school audiences, collaborating with several museums to offer high quality educational experiences.

The cooperative not only takes care of the educational content, but also selects, trains and coordinates the educational operators, ensuring that the staff in charge have the necessary skills to interact effectively with visitors.

It also manages the school secretariat, facilitating relations with teachers and institutions, and it is involved in the promotion, planning and realisation of special events that enrich the museum offer.

With a team of highly trained explainers, Gruppo Pleiadi creates activities that combine science, art and play, making museums lively and stimulating places. From exhibit design to operational management, each project is designed to bring the public closer to science and make every visit a memorable experience.

Museum of Flight in San Pelagio Castle in Padua

Inaugurated on 20 September 1980, the Museum of Flight extends between the manor and rustic wings of the San Pelagio Castle. Through fascinating thematic sections, the museum recounts the evolution of human flight, from mythical dreams of conquering the skies to extraordinary space exploits.

Since 2018, Gruppo Pleiadi has been collaborating with the company Air Museum to enrich the museum’s educational offer. In particular, it has devised the interactive route Volare, consisting of six scientific and creative experiences that allow visitors to experience the principles of human flight.

It also renews its educational proposals for schools every year, training specialised operators and organising events and summer festivals to offer innovative and engaging educational experiences.

Botanical Garden and Villa Parco Bolasco of University of Padua

Since 2020, the ATI formed by Gruppo Pleiadi and Le Nuvole has been coordinating the educational and cultural activities of the Botanical Garden of Padua, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, and the splendid Villa Parco Bolasco in Castelfranco Veneto, both owned by the University of Padua.

This collaboration takes the form of a broad educational offer for schools, families and the general public, with in-presence and online workshops (webilabs), theme days and special events combining creativity, experimentation and interactivity.

The ATI also takes care of operational management: selection and training of operators, preparation of materials, organisational support and promotion of initiatives in coordination with the University. Despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic, ATI ensured educational continuity by devising interactive online lessons that kept interest in nature, science and culture alive.

MUSE Sciences Museum of Trento

The MUSE in Trento is a benchmark among Italian science museums, offering an engaging and accessible experience for everyone, from toddlers to adults, in every season. This innovative museum combines the heritage of natural history with the dynamic interactions of modern science centres, offering a journey between nature, science, art and sustainability, through experimentation, discovery and play.

Gruppo Pleiadi, in ATI with Consorzio AION, manages the museum custodian, animation and education services, taking care of staff selection, training and coordination. The ATI supports MUSE in the planning and realisation of special events both inside the museum and in its branch offices, guaranteeing a high quality educational and cultural offer and helping to make every visit an unforgettable experience.

Children's Museum Pompeii

Gruppo Pleiadi, in ATI with Consorzio AION, was awarded the contract, through a public tender, for the realisation of the Children’s Museum Pompei, an innovative initiative promoted by the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

The museum, located in the historic Casa Rosellino, will offer spaces and playful-educational activities dedicated to children and adolescents of all backgrounds. The set-up, currently underway, will include interactive hands-on exhibits inspired by ancient artefacts and buildings, as well as large indoor and outdoor teaching rooms for creative, artistic and educational workshops for schools and families.

In addition, the ATI will manage educational and recreational activities in all the sites of Greater Pompeii, including Boscoreale, Oplontis, Stabiae and the suburban villas, expanding the cultural offer and involving the territory in a wide-ranging educational programme.
